reset or progress?

Signing up as well. My vote is we reset as i think we are missing at least chalks so it gives us an opportunity to gear one or two others up.

Sign up, I think we should reset and get more gear for those who need it + have another crack at saurfang hm.

I'll be around for DPS. I'm getting better but still some way to go... Feel free to drop me onto standby if necessary, I'm going to try and get some logs from a few fights in ICC10 so I can compare my dps with the rest of the guild. I'm down for sure but before too long I hope to be reasonable. My healing gear isn't great (quite a bit worse than my dps gear) and whilst I'm keen to get into raids I feel that I can't justify my position as a healer (plus I'd much rather DPS given I've only ever tanked and healed my way through raids and fancy trying out DPS before I give up)

I think we should reset and get the lowerspire on HC, we can 1 shot the first 3 now. It will be a while before we get the prof on HC but we have 1-shotted festergut and rotface on hard modes now. I also think we can manage Princes and BQ HC (without that arrogant Shammy this time!)


On a personal note, I would really like to bring my DK. I am worried that time is running out to complete my Shadowmourne quest and I need all the ICC action I can get to complete it. He is well geared now, however I have no issue whatsoever about getting my Druid saved for 1 or more bosses (we will need him Deathbringer for sure). At least that way it gives me all those trash kills and the farm bosses but I can moonkin for progression (Princes, BQ etc).

On this mate, i'd be up for getting 6-8 of us (2 tanks, 2 healers) and farming trash in that place for you. Maybe on a wednesday night? That trash before marrowgar i mean?

looking at this setup, which ever way we do it, we will have enough for the first 4 on HM's, rotface and festergut. Unfortunatly for roh, i think we will be doing princes and blood queen hc, which means roh wont actually get his full acheive =[

Not to worry about achievements, I just wanna do the fight Only need Blood Queen.

The Princes HC seems really tough, need to make sure everyone has seen the tactics before we go in:

Biggest change seems to be kinetic orbs which drop faster, start lower and hit harder. May be worth having 3 ranged on them rather than 2?

Been a while since I read up about princes hc but the biggest problem is not being able to move - that means you need to spread out the range dps more so they can cover all the balls without having to move much.

From what I remember (and I obviously wasn't there so may be teaching you to suck eggs here) you need to limit your movement to short bursts of movement followed by long periods of stationary. The only exception to this is the tank for the caster who has to move around to pick up balls. The overall effect is as above - ranged must be spread out more to catch all the balls.

I think if we can the right ppl then we should try Saurfang on hc mode plus the Blood Queen. Doing that would mean two new bosses being done on hc mode. The temptation is to get a little greedy, but judging from what others do this seems a good tactic to me. The princes looks harder than BQ, but i think the key is to spend a little time on the new hc mode fights and then move on. Judging by what happened last week Saurfang and the BQ were not too far off. For Saurfang i think we need to consider sheep as having a mage for slowing the adds down would be very useful. i think we also need to make sure we have at least 4 ranged for the fight as to me it looks like the adds are the main issue. We also need to keep the dps up as much as possible so it maybe worth continuning wiht a two healer approach

I think saurfang is do able with the team that is currently posted. And i also agree that the 2 healer approach works quite well (Org and Chugg), all it requires is a few wipes and a timely BL and we will have him down.

BQ is doable, we just need to get our game faces on, and we nearly had her a few times last week!

Princes will just require precise positioning, maybe get an overhead picture of the room layout and do dots on it like we did with the LK tactics?

This is how I see it:

Marrowgar – On farm
Lady DW – Wont be able to do it unless we have Fox & Chalka there
Gunship – On farm
Saurfang – Doable with abit of consentration, requires 4 ranged, 2 melee and 2 healers
Fester – Almost on farm
Rotface – Easily Doable, few hairy moments but with abit of tidying up, this fight could be on farm
The Prof – This is the hardest fight in there, I can see us downing the LK on HC before this guy
Dreamwalker – with 3 healers I can see this being doable, far from easy. But I don’t think the HC mechanics will challenge us that much
Princes – Rock hard, with a good heads up and people in the right mind frame, we could do this.
Bloodqueen – Doable, I think if we had Chugg instead of that other shaman, we’d have had her
Sindragosa – Challenging but doable, really looking forward to this fight
LK – Doable, we’ve had the most practice on this guy and I don’t think the HC mechanics will take [i]too[/] long to overcome

we can do lady dw with just 1 of us - me or fox, for me....

the stacks dont matter so much as long as ranged watch their threat, which they do, so having only one tricks every 25 seconds (30 sec cd-5 for active) is okay, i could also glyph for tricks which gives 10 seconds of threat transfer and reducing the 25 seconds down to 20 without it, doable if org can do the glyphs

Shall i come prepared with a shadow spec and gear for this fight then? I know Met will already be bringing his priest but looks like you want me dpsing aswell. As long as i'm told beforehand it's fine and i won't spend so much time respeccing, glyphing etc.

Alternatively, as we already have the 4 ranged it might be easier for Chugg or Org to go dps, like i said i'm perfectly happy to respec but i'm fairly certain their offspec gear is far above mine and they could pull a great deal more dps than me.

we need 4 ranged for saurfang hc and the only person with a poss ranged spec is you mate, chuggs enhancement, so that won't help

That and mind flay's slow will be mega useful too
